Green Gorilla's philosophy is waste minimisation. Founded in 2010, we are now New Zealand's most significant, full-spectrum waste services provider. Our company mission is to develop and provide sustainable waste and recycling solutions that maximise recovery and re-use and divert waste from landfills. Unlike many of our competitors, we are 100 per cent Kiwi owned and operated. We are determined to cultivate a legacy that will live beyond us.

Our commitment to waste recycling and diversion is realised with our own 2.7ha Waste Processing Facility in Onehunga. It's here where Green Gorilla diverges from other waste collection companies.
Instead of sending construction and general waste straight to landfill, we run each waste type through separate large-scale mechanical and manual sort lines. The end result is valuable material is recovered for recycling, and less waste goes into landfills. We're talking over 100,000 tonnes of waste per annum diverted away from landfills.
